As a general rule, upon getting instructions, the legal practitioner will advise the client on the fees based on the Law Society of Zimbabwe’s recommended tariff. It is important that our clients are able to discuss with our team the question of fees. A record of all attendances is made; e.g meetings, telephone and court attendances. Each file is billed based on the time the legal practitioners spend on the matter. The complexity of the matter will also inform the charges to be levied. Where an outside counsel is retained, the client will be levied with the charges of counsel. A statement will be done based on the work done and on the attendance note form. Clients are free to discuss the statement.
These terms and conditions are subject to adjustments so as to suit our client’s needs and capacity. We fully understand that each client is different and as such we will discuss the fees arrangement on a case-by-case basis.
